Terms of Service

Operated by Heron Networks LLC ("we", "us").

The service

The marketplace lets one customer post a bounty describing a DIY problem (a CAD/STEP/STL file, a slicer profile, a CNC toolpath, a jig, a wiring harness drawing) and another customer fulfil it for direct payment. Solved files may then be listed in a catalogue for anyone to purchase. See /pricing for the fee structure.

Payments

Bounty payments are processed by Stripe directly between poster and solver; the platform is not a party to that payment and takes no fee. Catalogue purchases are processed by Stripe with a published creator share and platform share.

Getting paid as a maker

A pledge puts a payment method on file; nothing is charged until the poster accepts a solution. When they do, each pledge is charged on the maker's own Stripe account. A maker cannot be paid until their Stripe payout setup is complete (Get paid on your account page) — set it up before you start building. If it is not complete, the poster's accept is refused and no card is charged.

Refunds and disputes on a bounty

Because a bounty is charged on the maker's own Stripe account, a refunded or disputed bounty is debited from the maker's Stripe balance, and Stripe keeps its processing fee (and charges its dispute fee on a card dispute) — the amounts are on /pricing. A charged bounty can be refunded only by the maker, or by us after review of a dispute — never by the poster alone. A poster may file a dispute for 14 days after accepting a solution; it is reviewed by a person. A buyer may dispute a catalogue purchase within the same window.

Content and licensing

Creators choose a licence (Personal / Commercial / Attribution required) for each solution they list. Buyers must respect that licence. Report infringing content through the takedown process and unsafe content through /report.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your account settings, or by calling DELETE /api/auth/me with a typed confirmation. Deletion is refused only while you have an unresolved funded bounty (so a payment in progress cannot be orphaned).
